Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for providing technical advices and guidance for proper planning and implementation of GTACC climate Change activities;
  • Assist GTACC Project Manager in planning and budgeting of annual and quarterly activities from their respective Programme Activities
  • Provide advice, support and guidance to partner organizations in the development and implementation of their program components
  • Facilitate and conduct trainings, meetings with stakeholders and partners
  • Coordinate with other partners and regional level offices and assisting in integrating the provisions of climate change policy and strategies
  • Provide technical inputs to local sectoral and adaptation – research, conservation, and community development at district as well as local level planning.
  • Play catalytic role to establish provincial, national and regional mechanism for climate change coordination (RCCC) and act as member secretary.
  • Provide advice, support and guidance to partner organizations in the development and implementation of their program mechanisms.
  • Co-ordinate and co-facilitate quarterly inter-partner meetings as a mechanism for capacity-building and sharing program learning.

REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCES &SKILLS)

Minimum Qualification

Degree in environment, climate change, agriculture, forestry, management, social sciences other relevant field is equivalent.

Experience

Essential to this position;

  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience with focus on Climate Change, development, Natural Disaster and Humanitarian work will be an advantage.
  • Experience of working in a multi- cultural setting as well as in post conflict reconstruction situation;
  • Experience in partnership building and networking
  • Knowledge and experience of administrations and supply chain processes, forms and tools in project or programme management;
  • Experience in usage of computers and offices software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)

Type of Role: Full Time: Duration 3 years
Reports to: GTACC Project Manager
Grade/Salary: Grade D1 role, 93, 611 – 133, 730 SBD per annum
